About

Hello, my name is Ishmael Ouattara I am currently a junior at Cobble Hill for American Studies. I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. I am currently a part of SEO Scholars, a non-profit, NYC-based, educational program for low income minorities. I am currently in the process of becoming a successful leader. I am a Peer Leader on my campus setting the example for other students. I guide them by helping them stay on tasks, hold assembly's and take steps towards college readiness.

What I’m Raising Money For

This summer I was nominated to participate in a three week long academic program where I get to attend college courses. This is significant because with the rigorous academic curriculum that awaits me in a year, this will help me prepare for it. This program will also help me understand the importance of independence and leadership while in college.

Why You Should Give

This experience can positively impact my life by giving me a glimpse of what my life while become in a few short months. As a young black male who doesn't receive these opportunities this experience will be remarkable. My goal is to raise $350 and any amount you can donate will be greatly appreciated. I look forward to using the knowledge of leadership that acquired at the summer program to give back to my community.
