About
My name is Jadely Lugo and I am from the Bronx. I go to High School for Environmental Studies and I have been playing volleyball in my school for about three years. Additionally, I am a part of an academic rigorous program called SEO. I also have responsibilities at home such as taking care of my baby brother. In other words, I am someone who has many tasks to complete on a daily basis, but that doesn't stop me from taking advantage of every opportunity thrown my way.
What I’m Raising Money For
This summer I will be participating in an Enrichment Program that will allow me to study abroad in Alicante, Spain. I will be learning about the intricate language of Spanish and the wonderful culture that surrounds it. I want to be able to fully immerse myself in this program, and this is something that will only be possible if I get the support that I need from you.
Why You Should Give
You should help me reach my goal because you will be contributing not only to my growth in character, but also to my success in the future. I will be able to step out of my comfort zone and be able to build connections with people from a totally different culture than mine. Also, I will use everything I learned over this summer such as newfound independence, confidence, and cultural knowledge for the real world that I am about to enter after high school. It can even help me during the college process because it will give me a whole new perspective on things. You have the power to give me the chance at a better life, so take it.
