About

HI! I'm Abdullah Mahdi, A Bengali-American teenager attending NEST+M high school in NYC. I am part of the Sponsors For Educational Opportunity (SEO Scholars ) program, where I hope to prepare for the intensive college life process, come out of my shell, and meet amazing like-minded individuals. In my free time, you may catch me reading a book, taking artsy photos of my friends and the city, or playing an action-filled video game. I aspire to become a Marketing Manager.

What I’m Raising Money For

Every summer, 11th graders at SEO get to participate in a variety of enrichment programs. I myself, am hoping to attend a summer program at one of the most competitive liberal arts colleges, Skidmore College. During the five weeks that I will be living at Skidmore, I will also be taking college credit courses that will allow me to get a headstart when I start college. I will be taking classes in cultural anthropology and sociology, where I hope to learn how to integrate business and culture in human psychology. Living in the metropolis of NYC, culture is everywhere and vital to city life. I want to be able to analyze trends and patterns in culture in order to incorporate them into my future profession.
