About
Hello, my name is Tanisum Halim and I am a junior at Townsend Harris High School. I enjoy volunteering at my local non-profit tutoring center for immigrant children and writing for the Arts and Entertainment department of my school newspaper.
What I’m Raising Money For
This summer, for four weeks, I will be living with a host family while attending French classes at a university in Toulouse, France. This would be a way for me to merge my passion for new cultures and languages with becoming a more self-reliant version of myself and develop skills to better prepare myself for college and beyond.

This is an once in a lifetime opportunity that will allow me to immerse in a new culture, build on my current language skills, and be more open minded as I navigate through my last year in high school and enter adulthood.
