About

SEO Scholars is a free eight-year academic program that gets undeserved public high school students in New York City to and through college—with a 90% college graduation rate. By the end of high school, I will gain a year and a half of additional instruction in math and two and a half years of additional instruction in English. 100% of SEO Scholars are accepted to four-year colleges. Through SEO I will engage in a summer enrichment program where I will have an experience that should shape my perspective and appreciation of life.

What I’m Raising Money For

At the end of June, I'll embark on a two-week journey to Montana. I'll be immersed in bare nature where I will be camping under the constellations by night and hiking in the blazing the sun during the day. Most NYC kids are too comfortable in an urban setting and most likely wouldn't risk a sunburn in the wilderness with bothersome musquitos. However I for one would love the chance to separate from the constant stimulation of technology and be able to listen to a running river stream, walk in real soil and see animals in their true habitat.
