About

My name is Stephanie Soto. I am an 11th grader at Manhattan Village Academy. I participate in multiple programs, such as SEO Scholars and College Now at Baruch. As a New Yorker, I've never been able to develop a close relationship with nature; however, I deeply care about animal rights.

What I’m Raising Money For

This summer I will be going to the British Virgin Islands as part of my SEO enrichment program. This is a three-week program where I will be tagging endangered turtles and monitoring the health of local reefs. This is an extraordinary program that will enable me to connect with the sea animals. This program relates to marine biology, which is a field I have always been interested in.

Why You Should Give

This first-hand experience will allow me to be self-aware of the implications humans have on the sea animals. This opportunity will empower me to spread awareness and knowledge to my community. Furthermore, in college, this adventure can shape my decisions and influence whether I will ultimately decide to major in marine biology.
