About

My name is Edgar Patino, and I go to All City Leadership Secondary School. I love exploring new things, therefore I am always looking for new doors to open. I believe that curiosity fuels the mind, and allows for amazing opportunities to come up. I plan to attend an elite college that will challenge my mind in the best way possible, and allow me to become a successful neurosurgeon in the future. I am apart of SEO, which allows me to become a better version of myself. SEO Scholars is a free eight-year academic program that gets undeserved public high school students in New York City to and through college—with a 90% college graduation rate. By the end of high school, SEO Scholars gain a year and a half of additional instruction in math and two and a half years of additional instruction in English. 100% of SEO Scholars are accepted to four-year colleges.

What I’m Raising Money For

I will be going to Colombia, learning about a different culture. I will be traveling from NY to Miami and then Colombia.

Why You Should Give

Your contribution will go towards an amazing trip to Colombia. This trip will allow me to explore my rich Spanish culture, and help me discover a new side to myself. Nevertheless, I have to opportunity to meet new people and ideas that will allow me to grow as a person. I will be staying with a host family, helping me learn about new ways that people live. I'll be able to eat new foods, explore many landmarks, and learn about the best parts of Colombia.
