About
My name is Afsana Islam and I am a current junior at Urban Assembly School of Design and Construction. I am the vice president of The National Honors Society in my school, the coordinator of cultural affairs in student government, and am attending classes in the American Natural HIstory Museum for culture, language, and society.
What I’m Raising Money For
The money raised will help provide for my summer language immersion program in Morocco endorsed by Seo. by attending this program I will go under a rapid language acquisition in an immersion environment by combining in-class language instruction, a comprehensive cultural program, and homestays. Not only will I be attending classes but I will create a new network of connections that will last a lifetime.
Why You Should Give
By having students like me learn new languages and about different cultures allows for us to have the necessary linguistic skills and cultural knowledge to promote international dialogue and support engagement abroad. This would then create a new generation of work force ready to collaborate with all corners of the world.
