About
My name is Gladymar Bautista and I am a Junior at High School for Environmental Studies. I love to play soccer and (as cliche as it sounds) I also love to explore new things. Ever since I started Elementary school I loved learning about the different sciences and have continued to enjoy it as I listen to podcasts and watch youtube videos relating to astronomy and the human brain.
What I’m Raising Money For
During this summer, I have been accepted to attend a prestigious university at Providence, Rhode Island for a 7-week pre-college program. While there, I will be taking two courses: Intro to Neuroscience and Short Stories ( two very different courses) both of which will further expand my perspectives. I am excited about meeting new staff members and exposing myself to a campus away from home, to get a sneak preview of college life.
Why You Should Give
I have worked hard throughout my high school career to become a role model for my siblings by becoming the first to graduate high school and go to college. I hope that by taking this step I can continue to be that person for them. Contributing doesn't mean just donating but also spreading the word, which can help me leave my comfort zone, and ultimately help me build confidence that will help me access the experience of a lifetime!
