About
Triangle Rowing Club is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing opportunities to youth in Raleigh/Durham North Carolina. The club fosters a competitive rowing environment and encourages development of good sportsmanship and teamwork.
What I’m Raising Money For
Since my freshman year in High School, I've spent at least 5 days a week building my strength and rowing on Lake Wheeler. Through TRC I've traveled all over the Southeast to compete against other rowing teams. Thanks to TRC I've found a sport that I truly enjoy. Thanks to my time at TRC I'll be rowing as a member of the UNC rowing team next year.
TRC is hosting our 3rd Annual Erg-A-Thon on Saturday, March 16, 2019, from 8:00am-11:30 am to raise money for a NEW 4+ VESPOLI VHP WORLD CLASS RACING SHELL BOAT!!! Our High School squad will each row 10,000 meters and our Middle School squad will each complete 5,000 meters. This goal will push all of our members to their maximum capacity!
Why You Should Give
Before I began rowing, I had tried just about every sport in existence. From track to volleyball, to basketball, to tennis, I didn't enjoy any of them. When I tried a TRC summer camp the summer before my freshman year, I instantly fell in love. Rowing is a truly unique sport and I love it!
Success is built on community support, making expert coaching and race-class equipment available to match our rowers' skill and dedication. With your tax-deductible sponsorship, we can offer a foundation for lifelong fitness, personal discipline, commitment and teamwork to our youth. TRC was awarded WRAL Voters Choice Award 2018 & 2019 as BEST Youth Sports League/Organization in the RDU area!
