About
The LHHS Mock Trial Team is a group of highly-motivated, energetic, and hard-working students who participate in challenging academic competitions styled after the U.S. Judicial System. Last year, we won at both the District and Regional Semi-Finals and then won the Final Round of the Regional 10 competition. Then, we placed 7th in State!! It was an exciting year and we are gearing up already to compete this year.
What I’m Raising Money For
We raise 100% of the funds needed to prepare for competitions, including supplies, scrimmages, travel, and food. For the last few years, our team has been invited to prestigious competitions and trainings across the country, including the Empire Mock Trial Competition and the Harvard Mock Trial Seminar. For our team to continue to compete and WIN, we must attend seminars, competitions, and scrimmages.
Why You Should Give
Mock Trial teaches the American judicial system and the mechanics of litigation but, more importantly, skills such as listening, public speaking, critical thinking, and problem analysis. This program is challenging and rewarding! With your help, we can continue to prepare young people to excel in their academic and future careers.

An LHHS teacher gave $100.00
I am giving to Mock Trial because it not only teaches students about the American judicial system and litigation, but also prepares them with important life skills: listening, public speaking, critical thinking, and problem analysis. Mock Trial challenges students to prepare and compete, to work as a team and as individuals. I have often seen them preparing after school for long periods of time. Their dedication is admirable and worthy of support -
