About
Help support our kids by encouraging them to read! We are asking you to give a donation to support our kids. Rather than doing the same old fundraisers that entail the kids asking friends and family to buy overpriced goods that they often don't need or use, we have chosen to take a different approach to raise money and do so in a way that supports their education. The students will have reading time increments both during school and outside of school that they can get credit for to earn rewards. In addition, they will earn rewards for the amount of money they raise through donations.
What I’m Raising Money For
This money raised goes to support the Galeton Elementary School and its programs. All net proceeds go 100% back to the kids to fund programs, projects, and classroom needs. One of the use of the funds is for their trimester "AR Parties" for the kids that reach their reading goals. We have been able to provide some exciting adventures for them to reward them for their hard work they put in to reach their goals. Other things we have funded in recent years include field trips, chrome books for classrooms, playground equipment, the sound system, and special classroom requests by the teachers. Please help us to continue to be able to provide the "extras" that help make their education better!
Why You Should Give
Galeton is a small rural school in Colorado that prides itself on the education and opportunities it provides for the students. In order to make it a standout school for the kids it takes outside funding to help with the support of these programs. Last year we provided over $10,000 of funding and we are hoping to be able to do the same this year with your help. In order to do this it takes hard work year round to raise these fund for the kids. We count on our fall fundraiser to get this kicked off and rolling for the year. We expect to raise between $3,000 - $4,000 with this fundraiser and hope you will continue to support these kids through your generous donations to encourage them to meet their reading goals. Please give what works for you and show the kids how much you support them!
