About
FIRST Robotics Team 2404 is a community based and volunteer powered Robotics team working out of Jackie Robinson community center in Pasadena California. 7-12th grade team participants learn, free of charge, and have the opportunity to apply the fundamentals of programming, electrical, CAD design and parts creation--all resulting in a functioning freestanding programmable and drivable robot!
What I’m Raising Money For
FIRST Robotics Team 2404 is taking on a new challenge this competition season -- we are building our first SWERVE drive based Robot. The swerve drive will allow team drivers to manipulate the robot more effectively during competition, and give the team a better shot and scoring higher on the board.
Our goal of 8000.00 will cover the swerve drive components, motors and parts, fix, upgrade and augment the existing shop tool array so more students can build at the same time, purchase the materials needed to build the chassis, and complete our application submission for the F.I.R.S.T. competition season.
The team will design and build a Robot with swerve drive this fall, gain expertise programming and learning to drive the Robot, so that when we start again from scratch during the 2025 competition season, we are READY to COMPETE!
Why You Should Give
Team 2404 is entirely supported by volunteers and donations. While many F.I.R.S.T. Robotics teams are affiliated with schools or for-profit entities, Team 2404 is community based and volunteer powered.
Our technical mentors bring expertise from their full time jobs to our lab and develop lessons and hands-on experiences tailored to team members at very different stages of learning. Everyone gets a chance to learn and build.
Support your team member -- no donation is too small-- and look for other opportunities to support Team 2404 in the coming pre-season and competition! and, THANK YOU
Team 2404 is part of Neighbors Empowering Youth NEY 501 (c) 3 non-profit.
