Hi! I’m Ava Oljeski

I’m working hard to raise money for the DSA Fall Art Festival: Día de los Muertos fundraiser led by Brent Myers.

We are raising money for our ever-growing festival and field trip needs. Since we create almost everything for the festival from scratch, many supplies are needed every year to make the festival a success. Before and during the festival, my committee and I will be promoting and growing public interest, which has so far been extremely positive. We expect even more of the community to be involved this year and we would love to elevate the festival experience for everyone.

With your donation, you would be:
- elevating local youth and boosting tolerance/cultural appreciation in Durham and the surrounding communities.
- enhancing classroom experiences by investing in programs that bring guest educators into our school.
- building bridges for our students to provide them access to knowledge and meaningful learning experiences in and out of the classroom.
- strengthening community ties by bringing together the members of our community to engage in a celebration of culture and diverse backgrounds.
